Ante-natal / Post-natal Clinical Pilates

Physiotherapist Kate Dasey is experienced in all pregnancy related musculoskeletal issues such as SIJ (sacro-illiac joint pain), rectus diastasis (abdominal muscle separation) and low back pain and can help guide you through these conditions.
The current WHO guidelines recommend at least 150min of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity throughout the week for substantial health benefits. This can be achieved through a variety of low moderate intensity exercises such as walking, cycling, swimming, Clinical Pilates and light weights training**.  
Clinical Pilates includes the use of reformers, trapeze  table, hand held weights and medicine balls to create a tailored whole body workout.

How does Ante-natal / Post-natal Clinical Pilates work?

After a one-on-one consultation with our physiotherapist we’ll build a program specific to your needs and fitness level. This will involve a complete musculoskeletal assessment and thorough history check.

Small group (4-person maximum) 1 hour supervised Clinical Pilates programs supervised by a Masters qualified physiotherapist, Kate Dasey.

How much does it cost?
Clinical Pilates group exercise are $45, for 60 minutes.  This amount is able to be claimed through private health insurers, for patients with ‘extras’. A pack of ten Pilates can be purchased for $400, a $50 saving!
